Description

Since our establishment in 1981, Midwest Karate has been teaching Traditional Shotokan Karate to the City of Saskatoon. It is one of the most practiced forms of karate in the world and teaches students self-defense with their personal growth in mind. Practicing karate also facilitates learning of many life and social skills, develops self-awareness, and teaches the benefits of health and physical fitness.

We are owned and operated by the Saskatoon Midwest Karate Students Association, which is a non-profit organization. We offer a variety of classes geared towards children, youth, adults and families. Midwest Karate is guided under the leadership of Sensei Mark Minarik, 5th Degree Black Belt, who is a world-renowned instructor.
