We all have our favourite businesses. Those businesses you frequent so often that the staff probably know you by name. At Directwest, we thought it’d be fun to share the employee “favs to frequent”. Who knows, maybe you’ll find your next go-to!

For Marketing Manager, Allan Millham, Valley Bake & Coffee Shop in Fort Qu’Appelle is a restaurant you should know about.

What makes it so special?

It’s in the middle of a pretty, funky town that is surrounded by 4 lakes. You finish a full breakfast and then you’re on a boat 15 minutes later. Although traditional wisdom suggests that you should not jump off the boat and swim for two hours after eating. If you’re a regular, or semi-regular, the staff likely knows your name. Open for breakfast and lunch, but not supper!

How did you find it?

Simple… drove down Broadway Street until I found an empty parking spot!

Why should others visit?

As Fort Qu’Appelle serves a wide area, you will probably know a couple of the customers there. Cinnamon buns are gigantic and made fresh that day. The walls are decorated with a mixture of local artwork, historic photos and antiques.

With all the reasons to check it out, we’re sure Allan’s fav, Valley Bake & Coffee Shop is soon to become your fav too!
