Owners and husband-and-wife Louise Lu and Milton Rebello are the passionate, friendly and talented duo behind Skye Café and Bistro. The restaurant is the perfect location for a Mother’s Day brunch. Their weekend menu includes crab cake benedict and chilaquiles. But it’s their savoury waffles that really stand out, topped with Cajun fried chicken, gravy and spiced greens grown in-house. Beyond the menu, the restaurant setting is cheerful and full of Chef Lu’s pottery, paintings, and plants. In fact, Chef Lu makes all the dishware, including their brightly speckled drinking glasses.

Their brunch menu includes homemade apple and cinnamon Greek yogurt pancakes topped with roasted apples and salted caramel, a perfect sweet-treat for Mother’s Day.
