Paige’s Favourite Brew Pub

We all have our fav businesses. Those businesses you frequent so often that the staff probably know you by name. At Directwest, we thought it’d be fun to share employee “favs to frequent”. Who knows, maybe you’ll find your next go-to!

For Marketing Manager, Paige Sandvold, Cathedral Social Hall is a brew pub and restaurant you should know about. Especially as St. Patrick’s Day approaches!

What makes it so special?

Cathedral Social Hall is locally owned, unique to Saskatchewan and part of the local food and drink movement. It’s a great environment for many different occasions. I have been to the Social Hall for supper, casual drinks, unwinding with teammates after frisbee and volleyball games, appys before a Rider game, a birthday party and a book launch!

It’s also a place where you can find Bohemian on tap, which makes it an easy go-to with my husband!

How did you find it?

It used to be the Freehouse! The Freehouse closed not too long after I turned 19 so the transition to the Social Hall happened when I was in the stage of my life where I was going out lots with friends. Once the Social Hall opened we made a point of checking it out!

Why should others visit?

Between their beer on tap (30 taps!), a wide variety of other cocktails, wine, bottles and cans, and zero proof options, there is truly something for everyone!

With all the reasons to check it out, we’re sure Paige’s fav, Cathedral Social Hall, is soon to become one of your favs too!
