Summer in Saskatchewan has arrived and with young kids to keep entertained, I’m always looking for new ways to beat the heat. Family road trips in past years have been sprinkled with the search for the biggest, baddest water parks in North America. This year, we’re staying closer to home and have decided to make it our mission to track down and try as many local slides as possible.
Here are a few on our list to investigate:
There’s truly nothing like the traditional outdoor park where Mom can supervise as she suntans.
3- Foam Lake Water Park
Part slide, part obstacle course, inflatables have really taken off in the past few years. I appreciate that they are usually one of several attractions at the location, ensuring there is no shortage of things to keep the kids occupied for the day.
1- Saskatchewan Aquatic Adventures
2- Wild Waves Waterpark
3- Crickle Creek
For the days it rains, or if you’re looking for a more robust swimming facility, there are some great indoor facilities that look worth a trip. I couldn’t help but zero in on the hot tubs.
1- Access Communications Water Park
3- Kinsmen Sportsplex Aquatic Centre
While it’s unlikely we will get to them all, it will be fun to travel to some new places over the next few months. And remember to check the latest hours of operation before heading out as things can change quickly!
So far, we’ve never met a slide we didn’t like so we’re hoping to keep the streak alive.
Did we miss one? Let us know! Find us on Facebook or Twitter so we can try to stop in this summer!

UPDATE:
It’s been a scorcher so far!
Through the power of social media since writing our blog on water adventures in Saskatchewan, we’ve heard about so many additional outdoor waterslides.
We’ve updated our list as they’re calling our name!
Enjoy them if you can in the final weeks of this hot Saskatchewan summer:
