Small Gestures, Big Differences

December 20, 2022

ICYMI (in case you missed it) – at the beginning of September we started a new social series on our Facebook and Twitter pages called ‘Thrifty Thursday’. The series focused on living and spending intentionally and touched on everything from supporting local businesses, to reducing waste by upcycling old items around the house, to donating or offering gently used items to family and friends. The series wrapped up with a note on the importance of communication when it comes to your financial goals and well-being. Head over to our pages if you’re interested in seeing all the posts!

Living and spending with intention doesn’t have to mean big changes or a complete overhaul of how you live, it can be as simple as making little changes to your regular routine. When it comes to helping others, small gestures can make a big difference. But where to start can be overwhelming. To make it easier, we’ve compiled a short list of places you can donate items or volunteer your time across the province:

Consignment shops are also a great way to let others shop new-to-them items for less than full retail price while helping you reach or maintain your own financial goals:

This time of year, as the holidays approach, people have more warm, fuzzy feelings than other times of year and turn their thoughts to how they can help others. It’s also a tougher time of year for those who need support. The places listed above are just a few of the many, many places you can donate, volunteer and shop for less in Saskatchewan.
