No ifs, ands or putts about it, I’m a huge fan of mini golf.
Funny, because I don’t love real golf -you know, the 18-hole courses where
you’re required to use more than a putter and give up half your day. But give
me quirky challenges and a colourful ball, and I’m there! So whenever I’m on
holidays, I love to find the little mini golf gems in the area – and yes, if
you’re with me, you know you’re joining the mini golf gang too!
If you’re looking for a fun activity and some friendly
competition, try out one of these mini golf destinations this weekend:
Home of Western Canada’s largest mini golf course! With scenic views of the prairies, Battle Creek is designed to show off the Land of the Living Skies.
Who doesn’t love a themed course? Get your chaps on and saddle up because you’re going on a western themed (golf) ride! Major perk: there are barnyard friends cheering you on – stop by for a quick visit/pep talk from the Cedar Creek pigs!
All things Canadian is the theme here – flowing water and prairie pastures. What’s not to love? Plus, if you have kids, this place is a utopia of FUN. Come for mini golf and stay the whole day!
Every hole is themed to reflect a feature (or creature) in the Prince Albert National Park! Learn something while you play… parents you will love this one for your kiddos.
A classic course in Echo Valley Provincial Park. Whether you’re camping nearby or drove down for the day, this is a great addition to the plans. Plus, you can check out the delicious YUMM Food Truck in the parking lot for post-golf deep fried pickles.
There’s no doubt about it, when summer rolls around I am
ready to mini golf! It’s definitely my cup of tee (ha). And if you know me, you
know I can get a bit (ok, maybe a lot) competitive. As Ricky Bobby says, “if
you ain’t first, you’re last”.
So I want to know, what’s your fav mini golf course in Saskatchewan? Let me know on Facebook or Twitter. I’m always looking to expand my putting horizons!
