Un-fore-gettable Mini Golf Courses

July 23, 2021

No ifs, ands or putts about it, I’m a huge fan of mini golf. Funny, because I don’t love real golf -you know, the 18-hole courses where you’re required to use more than a putter and give up half your day. But give me quirky challenges and a colourful ball, and I’m there! So whenever I’m on holidays, I love to find the little mini golf gems in the area – and yes, if you’re with me, you know you’re joining the mini golf gang too!

If you’re looking for a fun activity and some friendly competition, try out one of these mini golf destinations this weekend:

1- Waves Ice Cream & Mini Golf

  • Duck Mountain Provincial Park
  • Such a great family destination. Complete your round (and maybe your first place finish) with a delicious ice cream treat!

2- Battle Creek Adventure Park

  • Moose Jaw
  • Home of Western Canada’s largest mini golf course! With scenic views of the prairies, Battle Creek is designed to show off the Land of the Living Skies.

3- Cedar Creek Gardens Mini Golf

  • Regina (2 Miles South on HWY 6)
  • Who doesn’t love a themed course? Get your chaps on and saddle up because you’re going on a western themed (golf) ride! Major perk: there are barnyard friends cheering you on – stop by for a quick visit/pep talk from the Cedar Creek pigs!

4- Sky Park Mini Golf

  • Regina
  • All things Canadian is the theme here – flowing water and prairie pastures. What’s not to love? Plus, if you have kids, this place is a utopia of FUN. Come for mini golf and stay the whole day!

5- Market Mall Mini Golf

  • Saskatoon
  • Rainy day got ya down? Head inside – Market Mall has a tropical course with your name on it!

6- Little Al’s Mini Golf

  • Waskesiu Lake
  • Every hole is themed to reflect a feature (or creature) in the Prince Albert National Park! Learn something while you play… parents you will love this one for your kiddos.

7- Lakeshore Mini Golf

  • Battlefords Provincial Park
  • Yes, there’s regular mini golf, but have you tried glow golf?! Try it out on Saturday nights through July and August for a fun twist on a classic.

8- Echo Par Mini Golf

  • Echo Lake
  • A classic course in Echo Valley Provincial Park. Whether you’re camping nearby or drove down for the day, this is a great addition to the plans. Plus, you can check out the delicious YUMM Food Truck in the parking lot for post-golf deep fried pickles.

There’s no doubt about it, when summer rolls around I am ready to mini golf! It’s definitely my cup of tee (ha). And if you know me, you know I can get a bit (ok, maybe a lot) competitive. As Ricky Bobby says, “if you ain’t first, you’re last”.
